In April, the Denver Cherry Creek Rotary Club partnered with PCs for People, a non-profit computer refurbishment and recycling organization, to host a community collection event in Glendale. More than 3500 pounds of electronics were collected, preventing them from ending up in landfills. Many of the computers were refurbished and provided to needy Denver-area students and families at a minimal cost, empowering them with access to the internet. The remaining electronics were responsibly recycled.
More than a third of the DCCR Club’s members volunteered their time for a half-day to unload equipment from vehicles as Denver-area residents and small businesses brought their unneeded equipment to the community collection location. Comments are closed.
