What Is Rotary?
- Rotary International is more than one million men and women
around the world.
- Rotarians are serving people in the Cherry Creek community
and communities worldwide.
- Rotary International fosters world peace through personal service.
- The motto of Rotary is "Service Above Self".
Why I Am a Rotarian
"I have taken a team of amazing young women to Colorado
as part of a GSE team and seen the results of that life changing
experience. I have developed life -long friendships from that GSE
experience and have been back to Colorado twice
as a result. Coloradans have also visited my home
in Melbourne, Australia. ...
I have a passion to make a difference and Rotary is so diverse
and can throw up so many varied challenges that the organisation
continues to excite me. The Foundation that has as its aim to do
good in the world fits so comfortably with my beliefs.
In truth I am a Rotarian because of the quality of friendship
that has been shown to me. Yes I am a Rotarian because it makes
my life more complete and it provides wonderful challenges that
are often missing in our daily existence."
Past President Stuart Williams
Rotary Club of Forest Hill,
District 9810
Melbourne, Australia

Our 13th Annual Cherry
Creek Foundation Open -
Bear Dance in Larkspur - only 3 weeks left to sign up or
sponsor!
One
of our long-standing annual major efforts - the “Foundation
of Cherry Creek Rotary Open”- will be held on
July 23rd. It is a golf tournament and fundraiser that is
a major reason why Denver Cherry Creek Rotary has been able to be
so generous in granting financial requests to well-deserving projects
and organizations. This is our major fundraiser for 2009 so we ask
that you and anyone you know participate!

Capitol Steps was here on October 11th and was a smashing
success!
Denver Cherry Creek Rotary was proud to have
The
Adoption Exchange as the non-profit beneficiary
of the 2008 Capitol Steps performance at the Paramount Theatre on
October 11, 2008. The Adoption Exchange has 25
years of success in connecting children with families. We raised
over $20,000!

Just a Taste of What the Denver Cherry
Creek Rotary does with the monies raised from our Golf Tournament

Local community support includes Greenlee Elementary (K-8) as our
sponsored school; Alta Vista Center for autistic children; providing
meals at the Corona Street residence (a HUD low income housing community);
host a Rotary Youth Exchange student from Germay; and provide monetary
support for surgical instruments for a hospital in Africa. These
are just a few examples. For a more complete listing of the grants
approved for the 2007-2008 Rotary year, click here.

Internationally, the club supports an annual Dental Mission to Central
